Our St Ayles Skiff, built by Perth High School Pupils, gets splashed with whisky to see her rowing days begin. ‘Spirits’ were high on the 27th June as Prince Edward flew by helicopter into Willowgate Activity Centre to meet pupils, TayLP and boat builders Jason Bradley and Bobby Sutherland. Moredun Top dig 2017 is back for the third and final year excavating the complex Iron Age Hillfort. The dig runs from Tuesday 25 April – Saturday 20 May. TayLP volunteers have clocked up an astonishing 1,351 days in just 28 months. Our first volunteer session was a geophysics survey in March 2014 and many, many activities have happened since then. From picking apples to archaeological digs, surveying paths to fixing databases, helping out at events to putting up bird boxes and planting hedges… Continue Reading

TayLP, with the help and support of some fantastic volunteers, Becky Little and Perth Museum, are putting on a small exhibition looking at the history of clay buildings and the need for better maintenance and repairs of these important vernacular structures.
