Volunteer on an archaeological excavation
21 April – 2 May on Moncreiffe Hill
We need your help to find out more about the little known Iron Age Hillfort on Moncreiffe Hill. There’s lots to do on a dig such as the actual digging where you use a trowel to carefully scrape away the earth, recording any finds, labelling and bagging them and showing visitors around the site. No experience necessary.
There’s a choice of dates and we’re asking people to choose up to 3 dates from the list by Tuesday 17 March. We’ll then manage the bookings to create a mix of new and experienced volunteers and archaeological student on each session. If you’re interested contact Ross Rattray with your choice of dates. You’ll need to complete a Volunteer Sign up form if you’ve not been out with us before, we can send this to you.

28 April – 2 May (5 days)
28 – 30 April (3 days)
1 – 2 May (2 days)
