Traditional Skills

Training in traditional building skills, using materials that have been used in our area for hundreds of years, such us stone, slate, lime mortar and thatch, was offered to a broad range of people. These were undertaken at various locations across the project and work in partnership with like-minded organisations to ensure the work is undertaken to a high standard.

Our first training session was run by Craig Frew of Frew Conservation and was held at Megginch Estate, near Errol.  The trainees were given thorough training in lime mortar repair and rebuilding a typical historic boundary wall.
