Dig into Prehistory!

Dig into Prehistory!

25 April – 20 May 2017

9am – 5pm

Moredun Top is a complex Iron Age hillfort overlooking the Tay. This is our third year excavating here, in the first year we explored the extent and depth of the walls and last year we concentrated on the inside looking for evidence of people living there. So far we’ve found a gaming piece, a bead from someone’s clothing, lamps and a possible Dun or Broch. You can join us for as little as two days to get  your hands dirty digging up the past.

The dig runs from Tuesday 25th April – Saturday 20 May Tuesdays – Saturdays 9am – 5pm. No experience is necessary but you do need to be able to get up to the dig site which is a 25 minute uphill walk and there will be alot of kneeling, bending and lifting through out the days. The minimum age is 16.  We ask for a minimum 2 day commitment and your first day must be a Tuesday or a Friday so as to get the site induction.

Due to a number of recent cancellations we now have space on all dates of the dig
