Training in traditional building skills, using materials that have been used in our area for hundreds of years, such us stone, slate, lime mortar and thatch, is being offered to a broad range of people. These will be undertaken at various locations across the project and work in partnership with like-minded organisations to ensur

e the work is undertaken to a high standard.

Our first training session was run by Craig Frew of Frew Conservation in September and was held at Megginch Estate, near Errol.  The trainees were given thorough training in lime mortar repair and rebuilding a typical historic boundary wall. The next stage for the project team is to learn from this training in advance of the opportunities next spring summer.
