Kinfauns Old Parish Church

The old parish church at Kinfauns is medieval, dating from the 12th century when it was a chapel for Scone Abbey. It was re-built post-Reformation and abandoned in the early 19th century. It is a Scheduled Monument and required urgent consolidation, including repair of ‘at risk’ monuments, window openings and wall heads.

The project  received grant support from Historic Scotland and the repair work is now complete.   Before repair work began Headland Archaeology, were on site to carry out photogrammetry survey and phased recording of the building, following completion of a desk based assessment.
