TayLP volunteers surpass a milestone

TayLP volunteers have clocked up an astonishing 1,351 days in just 28 months. Our first volunteer session was a geophysics survey in March 2014 and many, many activities have happened since then. From picking apples to archaeological digs, surveying paths to fixing databases, helping out at events to putting up bird boxes and planting hedges all have contributed towards the final total, which equates to over 3.5 years of time. The TayLP team really enjoy working with our friendly, helpful volunteers and are delighted working together has helped  such a fantastic achievement and look forward to working together over the final 15 months of the project.

The Tay Landscape Partnership Area

The Tay Landscape stretches from Newburgh on the south side of the Tay Estuary around to Perth and along the Carse to Dundee.

The project, a £2.6 million initiative is principally funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, will enable locals and visitors to reconnect with the natural, built and cultural heritage of the area.
