Come and join us for our 4th and final Fruit Festival of the TayLP scheme. This year we will be celebrating the orchard harvest in one of the historic orchards of the Carse of Gowrie, Muirhouses. There will be lots of fun things for the whole family to see and do…

  • Help press local apples into delicious juice

  • Discover the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping

  • Dance to the fruit filled music of the Barrow Band

  • Enjoy a pony ride through the orchard

  • Try your hand at fruity arts and crafts

  • Compete in the orchard games

  • Have your face painted as a juicy apple or busy bee

  • Immerse yourself in orchard tales with our storyteller

  • Visit our pop up market, full of local and fruity produce

  • Tea, coffee, and food, including roast pork with apple sauce, seasonal gourmet pizza from a wood fired oven and delicious cakes.

Almost all the activities are free of charge, and there is ample free parking.

Muirhouses Orchard, Muirhouses Farm, Grange, nr Errol. Nearest post code: PH2 7TB. The orchard is on the Edge of Errol Airfield.

Directions

From Perth: Take the A90 towards Dundee. Leave the A90 at the Inchmichael Junction (just after the petrol station). Follow the slip road round to the left and cross the A90 via the flyover. At the mini roundabout, take the second exit, signposted Errol and Grange. Follow the road past the Cairn o’ Mohr winery and through Errol Station. At the end of the road, turn left, towards Grange.  Pass the industrial estate and Errol Airfield on your right. Shortly after entering the village of Grange, look out for a right turn, which will be signposted for the Fruit Festival.

From Dundee: Take the A90 towards Perth. Leave A90 at the Inchmichael Junction (just after the Horn Milk Bar). Public Transport

The Tay Landscape Partnership Area

The Tay Landscape stretches from Newburgh on the south side of the Tay Estuary around to Perth and along the Carse to Dundee.

The project, a £2.6 million initiative is principally funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, will enable locals and visitors to reconnect with the natural, built and cultural heritage of the area.
