Shirley Paterson, Scheme Manager
Shirley studied Geography at Edinburgh University before carrying on to complete a Masters in Environmental Management. She has worked for the environmental charity Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, followed by many years commercially managing the army training estates in Scotland on behalf of the MOD. Shirley previously chaired the Newburgh Orchard Group and has represented FWAG on the National Access Forum. She enjoys cycling, running and hill walking in between playing saxophone.

Sophie Nicol, Historic Environment Officer
An archaeologist by trade she is happiest knee deep in mud on top of a windy hill. She also loves historic buildings and is keen to help people explore their heritage in one of the best landscapes in Scotland! Although she loves all things ancient she really enjoys the natural world too and is often glued to a pair of binoculars looking for birds and wild things. Sophie will be a familiar face to some as she previously worked for Perth & Kinross Heritage Trust as their Outreach and City Heritage Officer.

Catriona Davies, Access & Biodiversity Officer
Catriona was part of the successful team who put together the development phase of the TayLP and she’s delighted to be back to help deliver this scheme. Previously she worked for the Scottish Rights of Way and Access Society and is passionate about public access to the outdoors in Scotland. She also has a lifelong interest in wildlife, especially birds. At the weekend you will find her in her garden, roaming her local countryside or climbing Scottish hills.

Ruth Bowbeer, Learning & Interpretation Officer
Ruth has previously worked for South Ayrshire Council as their Learning for Sustainability Outdoor Learning Activity Support Worker, co-ordinating SNH’s “Teaching in Nature” programme. Before this, Ruth was Project Officer for the Southern Uplands Partnership UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve, promoting conservation, learning, research and sustainable development. Ruth currently lives in the Sidlaw Hills and enjoys taking part in traditional crafts, gardening, walking and kayaking.

Lindsey Gibb, Volunteer Coordinator (Tuesday and Wednesday Only)
Lindsey has been working in the environmental and volunteer sectors for over 15 years. Having worked previously as a Countryside Ranger, Environmental Education Advisor and Communications Manager she is now self employed as a Professional Storyteller, Pilates Coach and Environmental Trainer. She is happiest outdoors and when she has some spare time can be found walking and watching wildlife in and around the Tay.
